When this little girl's policeman father died on duty, her last link to him was this teddy-bear. So, when the very special bear went missing, Brooklyn Andrews was heartbroken…

"She's slept with it every night since she got it when she was 3 years old," explained her mother, Marsha Andrews, 48, to People magazine.

The teddy even had a special message in it recorded from her father, Tony Andrews, who died in 2006 - and Brooklyn would press the button every single night before she went to sleep, so that she could hear her daddy's voice and be comforted.

So when the 14-year-old girl lost Toby the teddy-bear on a visit to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa last month, she was understandably heartbroken.

Her mother immediately rang the resort but, when that didn't yield any results, she took to social media in a desperate bid to spread word that the little toy was lost.

She wrote: "Very special bear (Toby) is lost!! Toby was given to the little girl by her by her daddy before he left for Iraq with his voice recorded in the bear telling her how much he loves her.

"He made it home from Iraq safely and was killed in the line of duty in 2006 working in law enforcement. Toby was last seen at Saratoga Springs Resort at Disney World on Jan 13th 2014."

The post was shared by a Facebook group for spouses of police officers who have died in the line of duty and photos of Toby quickly went viral.

And, thankfully, the posting caught the sight of a Disney employee, who found Toby.

They explained on the official Disney Parks Blog: “We went out to the building where the family had stayed. A housekeeper had found [Toby] and turned him in to a satellite office. We touched the paw and heard the message, and knew this was definitely the bear."

The Disney team then sent Toby on a fun-filled day around the park before shipping him home with photographs of his adventures.

Brooklyn was thrilled - and her mother explained to people just how much it meant to them that Tony had been found:

"I was shocked how much people cared. You'd think people would say, 'He's just a bear.' But he's not just a bear to us – and especially to her."
