The body is believed to be of an employee at the theme park, a maintenance officer who was electrocuted while attempting to fix the broken lights.
The ride better known on the grounds as the Phantom Manor is the ‘haunted house’ of the theme park, being described as a mystery ride filled with “ghoulish ghosts and spirits.”
The man is yet to be officially identified, although union representative of the iconic theme park, Patrick Maldidier, revealed to the French publication that he was a 45-year-old man who was well loved.
The Disneyland union representative said:
“[He] always had a smile on his face… [he] was very popular with his colleagues.”
Disneyland reps spoke to BBC Newsbeat, saying:
"We are truly saddened to learn of the passing of one of our Cast Members, and our hearts go out to his family and friends during this very difficult time."
Sadly this is not the first employee death on the site, as six years ago a cleaner died after becoming trapped under a boat while cleaning a ride, according to the BBC.
Although the Phantom Manor is shut, the rest of the park remains open at present.
