The Paralympian, 27, broke down twice this morning as he was asked to recount the night of February 14 2013, when he shot and killed his model girlfriend.

Prosecutor Gerrie Nel has been cross-examining the athlete for four days now, and has today accused Pistorius of 'tailoring' his evidence.

Oscar is charged with premeditated murder

Pistorius broke down when he was asked to repeat what he had shouted out as he moved towards the bathroom door on the night of the killing.

'I screamed "get the f*** out of my house,"' he cried in a high-pitched voice.

The judge was forced to suspend the trial for a while so that the star could have a chance to compose himself again.

She also had to stop proceedings when the athlete wept as he defended himself, saying 'I did not fire at Reeva!'

At the weekend, Reeva Steenkamp's sister Simone referred to Pistorius as a 'disgusting liar' who is trying to convince the court that he cared for Reeva, when really he did not.

'He sat in the dock, smirking. He killed my sister and yet he still seems to be enjoying his celebrity status.'

The star is certainly not short of fans, despite the murder trial. Supporters have been gathering outside the court in Pretoria, South Africa, each day - with some holding placards saying 'hero' and 'Ozzy we love and pray for you.'
