Thousands of people saw a bright ‘UFO’ flying over San Jose in California last night.
The light, described by many as a blue-green flash that flew horizontally before falling and lingered for as much as 10 minutes, was reportedly spotted as far south as San Diego and as far north as Santa Rosa.
And, while the US Navy has since claimed the light was caused by the firing of an unarmed missile, one woman’s shocking discovery of an ‘alien’ in her garden has sparked a HUGE debate online.
Sharing an image of the strange critter on Facebook and on Reddit, Gianna Peponis said: “I heard something scream at like 11.30 last night and went on my side yard and found this thing. It was dead when I found it.
“I wasn’t going to post this but I can’t stop wondering what this is.”
Many suggested that the creature was an alien - similar to the terrifying ‘facehuggers’ seen in the Alien films.
However others have suggested that the creature could actually be the foetus of a deer, partly eaten by predators.
One said: “Hoofed animals can freak out and drop a foetus, amniotic sack and all, when scared. Or maybe it was a still birth. Either way, dinner is on mother nature tonight!”
Hmm.
Another more superstitious user added unhelpfully: “I don’t know what the f*** that is. If your friend is brave enough to remove it from their property, remind them to salt the ground afterwards.
“Nothing good can ever happen there now.”
Well, THAT creepy comment sent a chill down our spines.
