The 69-year-old was found guilty of indecently assaulting a television researcher whilst working on the Mrs Merton Show in 1995.
He was found not guilty of another assault (which took place in 1998) whilst jurors failed to reach a verdict on a third charge from 2008.

Judge Anthony Leonard said during the sentencing: "It was an intentional and unpleasant sexual assault."
A victim impact statement was read out at Southwark Crown Court before the sentencing which read: "I was a naive and trusting 22-year-old when I was subjected to an unprovoked and terrifying physical assault at my place of work.
"I was too paralysed with fear to confront my assailant."
The woman added that the case had taken it’s toll, writing: "Being called a liar and fantasist and being forced to recall the evidence in court has been painful,” before adding: "I simply wanted to tell the truth.”
Following the sentencing, Travis reportedly looked towards the floor before saying: "Thank you, your honour."
