A father has been arrested after his 15-day-old daughter plummeted to her death in Serbia.

Nemanja Petrovic, 35, reportedly threw his newborn daughter out of a window because she was crying.

Petrovic claimed he was unable to sleep in his flat at 5.30am due to the noise, reports the Mirror.

After the tragic news of the newborn baby, who died when she hit the ground, police in Serbia said the father was under arrest.

Reportedly the man has sent to a psychiatric hospital for examination.

Investigations are under way by the authorities to uncover where the child’s mother was in the apartment in capital Belgrade at the time.
