Hull, 58, was initially sentenced to 18 months at Carlisle Crown Court after police raided his house and found a stash of Cannabis, thought to be worth £350.

But a judge suspended the sentence after hearing he needed to help his 26-year-old girlfriend, Emma McNeil, care for their seven-month-old son, Barry.

The feckless dad, from Aspatria, Cumbria, hasn’t worked in 10 years, which he claims is due to a bad back. However, this debilitating ailment hasn’t hindered his bedroom acrobatics, as according to Hull, he’s never had a problem when it comes to women.

“I don’t know what it is about me, but I am never short of offers,” boasts Hull.

“It is just my luck that every time I have a one night stand, the girl ends up getting pregnant. If it’s tidy, you don’t knock it back, do you?”

Hull’s latest girlfriend, Emma, who works in a bakery, has defended her feckless partner and claimed he is a good father, despite him admitting he struggles to remember any of his children’s birthdays.

“He does not have a lavish lifestyle. He puts everything back into the kids,” explains Emma.

“We have known each other for 10 years, but we only got together two years ago. I was thrilled when I fell pregnant with Barry.”

Hull, who has 31 previous convictions, – none of which are for drugs offences – must now observe a curfew, from 6pm and 6am, and has been fined £200.
