ITV's This Morning shocked viewers earlier today, as hosts Holly Willoughby and Dermot O'Leary welcomed a couple who drink their own urine.
Rebecca and John both enjoy a cold warm glass of their own wee and have been partaking in the peculiar tipple since their relationship began two years ago.
Holly described the idea as being "utterly fascinating", as John revealed he began drinking his own urine to help balance his emotions.
"It's made such a massive difference to my life. Just generally it helped balance my head and my emotions were a lot calmer."
When he confessed his habits to his girlfriend Bex, she decided to try it for herself - and began to drink her own urine for herself.
She found that it helped to cure her depression, admitting that "for the first couple of months you feel extremely happy and extremely bouncy."
She eventually began to ease herself off of her medication, finding that the urine made her feel better - however a doctor on This Morning insisted that people need to be more careful about drinking their own urine.
"When it's in the bladder it shouldn't have bacteria in it, but on the way out it may pick up bacteria… you're reintroducing things into your body that it's trying to get rid of.
"It is not medically recommended."

The couple admit that they don't enjoy the smell or taste of their urine, but that they enjoy the effects.
They also explained how they used urine on cuts and burns and have found it makes their teeth whiter and eyes brighter.
Apparently they even take a shot of urine if they find themselves feeling tired, as it acts as an energy shot.
Holly did ask if the urine could perhaps act as a placebo, due to the adrenaline of drinking it, but John denied this.
