Airbnb has become one of the most popular websites to find last minute accommodation in cities around the globe, but one couple will almost certainly NOT be renting out their home again via the site.
Mark and Star King advertised their flat on the website and rented their home to a group of four. The guests claimed they were attending a wedding in their hometown of Calgary.
But when the couple returned they found out that there had been over 100 people setting up camp in their quiet neighbourhood.
Local police were forced to intervene when a ‘party bus’ turned up and the unauthorised guests went on to trash the house.
The couple found used condoms, underwear and broken glass after discovering that ‘guests’ had gone through their personal possessions.
Mark explained that police described the incident as a ‘drug-fuelled orgy’ judging by the evidence left behind.
When he and wife Star returned to their apartment there were still over 15 people ‘passed out’ in their home.
Airbnb have put the devastated couple up in temporary accommodation whilst they pay for their home to be restored.
