65-year-old Annegret Raunigk last week gave birth to quadruplets - believing age is no barrier to having to having children. The mother of now fifteen children gave birth to three boys - Dries, Bence and Fjonn, and one girl names Neeta.
Sadly the babies remain in fragile condition, having been born 14 weeks early - yet doctors rule out any serious health problems as the babies continue to grow.
Annegret had been receiving IVF treatment in Ukraine, last month she shocked the world with news of her pregnancy. The Berlin language teacher already has 13 children by five different fathers - as well as seven grandchildren.
The main reason for getting pregnant this time round was because her youngest daughter wanted a brother or sister to play with.
Miss Raunigk told the Mail Online: “At first, I only wanted one child. But then things happen. I am not a planner, but rather spontaneous.”
