Parts of Mayang Prasetyo’s body were found in the Brisbane apartment she had shared with her husband, Marcus Peter Volke, with some of them found boiling in chemicals on the stove.
Police were alerted to the death when neighbours complained of the smell of ‘rotting meat’ coming from the apartment.

Mayang, who was a sex worker, married chef Volke in 2013, after the pair met on a cruise ship.
The pair appeared to have a happy, loving relationship, and had moved to Brisbane to live and work three months before Mayang’s tragic death.
27-year-old Ms Prasetyo earned up to $500 an hour for her sexual services. In one advert she is described as a: ‘Real deal pre-op functional hot TS. With a great and fit body to enjoy.’

Friends and family of the prostitute in her home country Indonesia have been paying tribute to their loved one on social media, describing her as ‘larger than life’ and a ‘beautiful angel.’
Prasetyo had been using money earned in the sex trade to pay for her family’s education back home.
One of her friends, Brad Whitehouse, said that Mayang dreamt of becoming a mum one day.
‘Mayang lived as a female and wished to make that big step one day and establish into complete womanhood,’ he said.
Marcus Volke, an Australian national, had no criminal history, but was described by school friends as a ‘little different.’
Ms Prasetyo’s friends described the 28-year-old as ‘extremely cold.’
