22-year-old Pippa McKinney made headlines this week after her Facebook post searching for a ‘mystery man’ went viral.

Pippa shared a nightclub smooch with a boy named ‘Matty’ and after failing to get his number decided to take to Facebook in a bid to find him.

But to her horror, she discovered that her dream boy actually had a girlfriend despite insisting to her that he was single!

Now Matty Steven has decided to have his say on the matter.

Taking to Facebook, the lad from Wythenshawe branded Pippa a ‘liar’ and swore he was going to ‘set the story straight’.

He wrote: 'This has gone way past a joke. I have tried to stay quiet but I think it's about time people get my side... The truth.

“How many times has this story changed!? Fame seeker, a liar and a very strange girl. This is a major setup. Watch this space.”

He then added the hashtag: “#shameforfame”.

It is not known if Matty is still with his girlfriend, who was tagged in Pippa’s initial Facebook post.

Following her birthday kiss, Pippa posted on her account: “Met this guy last night, absolutely stunning, took his number down wrong but would love to get to see him again.

“He's from Wythenshawe and is called Matt, help anyone?”

The post got hundreds of shares and likes before she was forced to discover that Matty was already spoken for.

She has now claimed that she has spoken to Matty’s (ex?) girlfriend and that she is a ‘lovely girl’, adding that ‘girls stick together’.
