Anni and Shrien were on honeymoon in Cape Town, South Africa when they were seemingly carjacked, with Shrien being ejected from the vehicle and his new wife found dead the next day.
Despite maintaining he is innocent, the court in Cape Town watched CCTV images this morning that will certainly be tough to defend.
BRITISH BUSINESSMAN ON TRIAL FOR ARRANGING WIFE'S MURDER AFTER FOUR YEAR DELAY
The footage shows Shrien Dewani meeting with taxi driver Zola Tongo, who was driving the cab when he and Anni were carjacked, the morning after his wife had been shot.
Dewani can be seen talking to Tongo in his hotel, before noticing a security camera, quickly glancing up at it then looking away.
HONEYMOON 'KILLER' ACCESSED DATING SITES HOURS AFTER WIFE'S DEATH
Shrien claims this was an innocent conversation, and at this stage he did not know his wife was dead. Tongo maintains that this was a meeting for Dewani to check that ‘the job was done.’
Unfortunately there is no audio on the clip, therefore it cannot be determined what passed between the pair.
On Thursday, lawyers for the defence claimed that Dewani was framed for the murder of his wife, and that they will call a witness to attest to the fact Tongo has boasted about setting up the killing.
According to the man, Anni was hot dead when one of her kidnappers attempted to rape her, she fought him off and a gun went off in the car.
The trial continues.
