46-year-old Ehsan Abdulaziz has been cleared of a rape charge after claiming that he may have accidently tripped and penetrated the alleged victim.

The Saudi property developer was accused of forcing himself upon an 18-year-old woman after she fell asleep on his sofa in his Maida Vale flat.

The woman became acquainted with the millionaire earlier that evening at a prestigious West End nightclub, Cirque le Soir, in the August of 2014. Herself and her 24-year-old friend, who is said to have already known the businessman, partied with him inside the club.

The pair of women joined Abdulaziz at his table – which costs £1000 per evening - and then he took them back to his apartment in his Aston Martin.

Abdulaziz then had intercourse with the older female, before allegedly forcing himself upon the younger woman. She claims to have woken up to him attempting to force himself inside of her.

Yet he said that the incident had been an accident, and attributed the traces of his DNA that were found inside of her to himself falling onto her as she tried to seduce him. In his version of events, he approached her to offer her a ride home and clothes to sleep in, but she had pulled him towards her and made sexual advances.

"I'm fragile, I fell down but nothing ever happened, between me and this girl nothing ever happened," he told the court.

After just half an hour the jury had acquitted Abdulaziz of one charge of rape.
