Jayde drank ten Jägerbombs – a shot made of a shot of Jägermeister and Red Bull – in two hours, during a two-for-one promotion night at a bar, in Yeovil, Somerset.

The 18-year-old collapsed the following morning, in the bathroom at her room, and was saved by her father, Darryl, 38, who performed CPR.

Jayde, was placed into a medically induced coma, after her heart stopped three times, and claims the caffeine in the energy drink mixer, was to blame for her collapse.

Medics have since explained that the as the effects of the alcohol wore off, the high level of caffeine in her system caused her heart rate to accelerate to a critical level.

The student hopes by speaking out, she will stop other young people suffering like she did.

She said: “I think it is pretty bad that people sell these drinks. You’ve no idea how much caffeine is in them and how dangerous they can be.

“I hope people will think twice about drinking energy drinks. They could be deadly.”

Jayde spent three weeks in hospital, and has since been fitted with implantable cardioverter defibrillator – which will shock her heart if it stops again.
