The serviceman, who was on a military ski trip to Austria, climbed through the window and attacked the 6-year-old before being caught by her father.
He is said to have avoided checking in at the military base on November 29, before committing the crime.

The girl's father was awoken by the noise and confronted the man, who was in the girl's bedroom.
Horrified, he called police to his home in Neustifit and had the soldier arrested.
An army spokesperson said: 'The army is aware that a soldier has been charged in Austria following allegations of child sex offences.'
His trial will begin on March 10.
