Britain to be hit by ’thundersnow’: Forecasters warn of weather chaos

Weather reports have warned of extreme conditions across Britain, as snow and thunderstorms sweep the country.

Much of Wales and Scotland have already experienced heavy dumps of snow, while England has been told to ‘brace itself’ for the same.

Network Rail has suspended several train routes due to the bad weather, while roadside assistance crew the AA have said they’re prepared for a busy 48 hours.

The Met Office shows bad weather affecting much of the country

On Wednesday morning The Environment Agency issued three flood warnings and 44 flood alerts for England.

Following a snowy blast in Scotland yesterday, over 30 schools were closed in the Highlands, where driving conditions were also perilous.
