Yes, really.

Last year, the nation was gripped by reports of the Bristol crocodile, when several people spotted what they believed was a croc in the River Avon.

And now police are on the lookout AGAIN after a terrified resident has photographed what looks an awful lot like a crocodile in a stream between Clevedon and Kingston Seymour.

Check it out:

He told officers that the reptile rose up out of the water and stared at him as he walked alongside the water in North Somerset.

And, taking to Twitter after the incident, he told Twitter followers worriedly: “It blinked at me.”

Avon and Somerset Police are studying a photo that the resident snapped of the alleged croc, and have said they will analyse the picture and decide how to take action.

The latest photograph comes after a spate of sightings in Bristol from last year.

One frightened resident alerted polices when he spotted what he believed to be a crocodile underneath Bedminster Bridge.

However, when officers searched the river, they were unable to find any sign of it.

Another walker later shared a photograph of the alleged Bristol crocodile swimming around lazily beneath the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

However many slammed the photograph, insisting it was nothing more than a plastic bag.

Both sightings came after Bradley Stoke town councillor Tom Aditya shot footage of what he thought was an alligator

And, while the croc sightings were never confirmed, they definitely captured the attention of the nation.

We wonder if police will be able to track down the scaly river invader this time around?
