Bridemaid Katrina Hanafin, 33, was in her seat on the Ryanair flight when bride-to-be Kelly Lloyd, 30, started throwing punches at her.
Katrina claims that Kelly ‘had always been jealous’ of her and that the bride had started the fight.
She told the Manchester Evening News: ‘I was sat down the whole of the time and was attacked by them. I’m covered in bruises and can’t move my arm, I don’t know what they’ve done to me.’
‘I went to A&E and I’ve got to have physio now. They just all came at me. The only time I stood up was to tell them it would all be recorded on CCTV.’
She continued: ‘After that I asked the cabin crew to move me. I didn’t want to be a part of the hen party after that. It all happened about an hour into the flight.’
After landing Katrina slept on a bench at Barcelona airport as she waited for a flight back to the UK.
‘When we arrived I hung around the airport, found someone with an internet connection and booked a flight home with Jet2. It cost me a lot of money to go there and a fortune to get back. I can’t believe what has happened.’
Katrina says she is no longer planning on attending her friend’s wedding, which takes place next month. Kelly and the rest of the hen party are reportedly still in Spain.
