When Shona Carter-Brooks from Tennessee spoke about her dream wedding dress, nobody realised quite what she had in mind…
Shona decided to 'strap' her newborn daughter Aubrey to her dress as she walked down the aisle.
No need for the bride and groom to find a babysitter for the big day, then!
After posting the wedding pictures online, the newlywed promptly received a barrage of criticism, with people calling her ‘classless’ and referring to the dress/ baby carrier as ‘incredibly dangerous.’
One wrote: ‘I am sorry but if I would have saw that I would have gotten out of my seat and taken that baby. That is truly dumb.’
Shona fired back at her critics, writing: ‘People questioning what we do, commenting all negative, and just doing the most.’
She reasoned that her daughter was ‘awake and well secured’ as well as being ‘covered by Christ.’
'Media Media I see how it works regardless the situation or purpose people gone (sic) have something negative to say!’
She added: ‘The answer is we do what we want, when we want, as long as Jesus on our side everything worked out fine and gona (sic) continue to be fine.’
Not everyone was shocked by Shona’s choice of gown, with one wedding guest praising her, writing: ‘Shona and Johnathan Brooks your wedding was super perfect from the groom and his men and you and your diva's baby you rock the gown and the princess tagging behind you it brought tears to my eyes. Regardless of anybody else dream your's came true. I loved it and thank you for inviting me.’
