Olivia Pozniak had joined friends for breakfast in the Furze Wren pub in Kent when her 11-week-old son needed feeding.

But when the 25-year-old began to feed Louie, she was approached by a member of staff and told to cover herself up - with a dirty dishcloth.

Olivia admitted she was left shocked when a staff member told her she was disturbing the other customers, coming over with a dirty dishcloth and saying ‘Can you cover up?’

But the mum-of-four refused, instead standing up and asking the other customers if they had a problem with what she was doing - to which they all said no.

‘I want people to know about this so I’ve organised mums to go along to feed their babies in whichever way they choose [at the Wetherspoons] at 10am tomorrow’ said Olivia.

So far, 50 people have confirmed their attendance at the ‘boob and bottle in’ organised by Ms Pozniak.

A spokesperson for Wetherspoons said: ‘We apologise wholeheartedly to the lady. This should never have happened. Our pubs are welcoming to mothers who wish to breastfeed their children.’

The company put the incident down to an error of judgement on behalf of the staff member.
