Many of us may have felt unhappy with our appearance at some point.

At Christmas, when overindulging is pretty much encouraged, it's easy for those who struggle with body image and their relationship with food to feel miserable and guilty about the amount they've eaten.

One blogger is aiming to change that. Megan Jayne Crabbe, who runs her website and social media accounts under the name BodyPosiPanda, is a self-described recovering anorexic.

She posted a picture of her Christmas 'food baby' on Instagram as a reminder that treating yourself is okay, and so is looking and feeling fuller afterwards.

"TO ANYONE CURRENTLY FEELING GUILTY ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF FOOD IN THEIR STOMACH: it's okay.

"Tummies are supposed to grow and expand and let us experience all kinds of delicious moments," she wrote.

The post has been liked over 20,000 times, and Megan's followers are thanking her for her wise and reassuring words.

Her honesty is very important – it's estimated that over 1.6 million people in the UK may be directly affected by eating disorders.

Sadly, a 2012 survey also revealed 60% of adults said they were ashamed of the way they look.

Megan's mission to remind us all that every body is beautiful in its own way, and that food isn't something to be scared or ashamed of, is incredibly important.

We hope everyone enjoyed their food this Christmas, and feels positive about the year ahead.
