Every now and then, you hear a love story that touches your heart in ways you never thought possible. The tale of Lewis Duckett and Billy Jones is one such story.
They've been together for 46 years, after they were introduced by a mutual friend. And, despite it being a difficult time for homosexuals, love quickly blossomed.
As Lewis puts it: "Before either one of us knew it we were actually in love."
Billy was deployed to Vietnam for the war and Lewis wrote to him just about every day. but the couple had to be careful, writing in code to keep their relationship a secret from prying eyes.
Thankfully, it worked and, before they knew it, they were reunited.

They adopted a baby together and were doting parents in every way - even if Lewis has confessed since that he wasn't exactly a pro at changing nappies.
Now the pair are grandfathers and, last year, they decided to get married in a truly beautiful and moving ceremony. And their granddaughter was bridesmaid!
Billy said: "It's an enhancement to the relationship that we had."
We hope that Billy and Lewis will continue to live happily ever after together - and wish them many congratulations on their wedding!
