What would you do if you saw a shark washed up on your local beach?

A large group of people of people were shocked to find a shark on the sand as they celebrated Labor Day weekend in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Instead of running for higher ground, the lovely people of Cape Cod decided to give the shark a helping hand after it lost its way.

Good samaritans poured water over the shark to help keep it alive as they pulled it back into the ocean.

They wasted no time, aware that every minute counts when sharks leave the comfort of their salty habitat.

Crowds gathered to watch the incredible scenes as the shark was saved and placed back into the safety of the ocean.

A witness told CNN: “We walked down there and the first thing I noticed was a shark’s fin.

“It was a pretty massive great white shark. People at the time were just shuffling back and forth pouring buckets of water into a little moat they had built to keep the shark cool.”
