Army Specialist Cole Tesar, back from Aghanistan after a nine-month deployment, had something very special to come back to.
It was time for him to meet his baby daughter for the very first time. But he had no idea that their first meeting would go global!
Attached to his daughter’s pram when he returned to Bellevue, Nebrasaka, was a sign inspired by the Carly Rae Jepsen song Call Me Maybe.
The pink placard read: “Hey I just met you and this is crazy, but my name’s Harper and I’m your baby!”.
WOWT 6 News posted a photograph of the touching scene on its Facebook page and the image soon went viral, gathering 1.5 million likes.
Cole explained that he couldn't believe his adorable baby daughter has become famous in one photo, saying: "That's crazy, I couldn't believe how fast, how many people, how fast, it went viral like instantly."
And, talking about finally holding his daughter in his arms for the first time, he said: "It is my own baby; it is our own blood. It is definitely special, and it is a pretty good feeling."
Excuse us a moment. We just… we just have a little something in our eye...
