Baby dies after being thrown out of sixth floor window

New York Police Department confirmed that the baby girl died after being tossed from the sixth story flat in the Bronx area of the city.

A 27-year-old woman believed to be the child’s mother was in the apartment with four children at the time of the incident.

Police confirmed the woman and three children were taken to hospital for evaluation, but they were not thought to be injured.

This death comes as the third of its kind since August - the third child to be killed after being catapulted from an apartment in the city.

No charges have yet been filed.
