Asteroid to ‘destroy earth in four weeks’

An asteroid is set to hit the earth in a matter of weeks, conspiracy theorists have claimed.

That’s right, according to self proclaimed prophet Efrain Rodriguez, the world will be completely destroyed when a giant asteroid strikes us between September 21 and 28.

The prediction apparently ties in with the ‘Blood Moon Prophecy,’ with September 28 marking the last of four blood moons.

Theory states that disaster is imminent if we have a lunar eclipse, followed by six full moons.

And after the last lunar eclipse in April 2014, we have indeed had six full moons.

NASA have set the record straight

Prophet Efrain says he has also had visions of the asteroid entering the airspace in Puerto Rico, ‘striking the sea between the island of Mona and Mayaguez and triggering a magnitude 12 earthquake.’

Sharing his findings with NASA, the space agency have now been forced to issue a statement on the matter.

Paul Chosa, from NASA’s Near-Earth Object office, has slammed the prophecy.

‘There is no existing evidence that an asteroid or any other celestial object is on a trajectory that will impact earth.’

‘In fact, not a single one of the know objects has any credible chance of hitting our planet over the next century.’

‘There is no scientific basis, not one shred of evidence, that an asteroid or any other celestial object will impact Earth on those dates.’

So, just a load of baloney then. Good to know!
