A spokesman for Amazon responded: “We are sorry to learn about this experience and take complaints of this nature very seriously.
"We will, of course, replace the item at no charge.”
It appears people are now installing CCTV to keep an eye out on where their missing packages are going.
CCTV.co.uk spokesperson Jonathan Ratcliffe said: “We have customers installing home CCTV systems simply so they can see where parcels were left.
