Our hearts broke when Alton Towers victims Leah Washington, 18, and Vicky Balch, 20, lost their legs in a brutal roller coaster crash.

Now former dancer Vicky has started rebuilding her life and what better what to start than being offered a modelling contract?

The beautiful student has been offered a contract with agency Models of Diversity, which signs men and women who don’t fall within the usual ‘model’ specifications.

Vicky’s first modelling gig will be walking the catwalk at an event in London’s Shepherds Bush at the start of October.

Bravo!

Brave Vicky shared a picture of her amputated limb earlier this year in an attempt to raise awareness for surgical research.

Speaking to the BBC earlier this week, Vicky revealed her trauma following the horrific Smiler roller coaster crash earlier this summer.

She said: "I remember it going into my knees and it hurt. The pain was indescribable. It hurt so much, as I'm talking about it I can still feel how it did as it crashed into my legs. I couldn't tell you how many times it impacted on it because I fainted.

"I didn't want to look at my legs. I never thought I would be able to walk again. I didn't think I would make it. I didn't think I could cope with the pain for as long as I did."
