After 17-year-old Jaydon Chavez Silver was shot at a friend’s house in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a young female came to his aid, dialling emergency services for assistance.

But despite telling the operator that she is ‘keeping him alive,’ and that he is ‘barely breathing,’ the employee snaps at the woman: ‘OK, you know what ma’am? You can deal with it yourself. I am not going to deal with this, OK?’

Tragically, the woman then comes back with ‘No, my friend is dying’ as the operator appears to hang up the call.

The dispatcher, known as Matthew Sanchez, has resigned after the incident came to light, although originally it was claimed he had been reassigned.

Victim Jaydon Chavez Silver died after being shot watching a card game at a friend’s house. It is thought gunmen fired shots into the house, hitting the teenager who was sitting on the kitchen counter.
