Amber Peat, from Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, was last seen at 5.30PM on Saturday in her home, but has since disappeared.

At a press conference about the missing teen, her parents said this was ‘completely out of character’ for Amber, as they fought back tears.

‘We just want to know she is okay’ said Kelly and Danny Peat.

Up to 300 people from the local community turned out to search for Amber on Monday, with missing posters being paste around the area.

‘We just want her, or someone who knows where she is, to get in touch,’ the parents added.

Amber’s biological father apparently lives in Scotland, so police are liaising with authorities north of the border to see if she may have travelled to see him.

Speaking of the moments before Amber disappeared, her mother said they had a disagreement about chores, she heard a door bang, and when she returned downstairs ‘she was nowhere.’

Amber left her mobile phone and money at home.
