Bin Bin, 10, from China was at school when his teacher asked him why he seemed to be in pain every time he moved.
It was then that the poor boy burst into tears and revealed the full extent of the abuse he was facing at home.
He told his teacher that his stepmother would tie him to a clothes rack to carry out savage beatings on him with a leather belt.
After opening up to his teacher, Bin Bin was taken to the head teacher. He is said to have told them: “She beats me all the time.” Speaking of his most recent beating, he said: “She said I had been playing in water and punished me with a leather strap.”
Bin Bin then revealed his injuries to his teachers, and they found every inch of his body covered in bruises.
The disturbing images of Bin Bin’s injuries are said to have been leaked by education officials, and have caused outrage.
Following the images being leaked, Bin Bin has become a poster boy for anti-domestic violence campaigners.
Quiong Yang, his teacher, said: “He is such a sweet and kind little boy. It broke my heart when he recounted this tale of cruelty.
“His stepmother is jealous of the boy’s relationship to his dad and it seems she has not managed to have a child. She said he must help her do housework each day and if he misses any speck of dirt he gets another thrashing.”
Police are now involved in the case.
