A disturbing video has demonstrated how a day in the life of a victim of domestic violence might play out, using Google Glass to show how a pleasant morning can quickly turn into a day of violence, fear and abuse.

The video, produced by London's Banjo Eye Films, follows a woman throughout her day, all through the eyes of her Google Glass.

We see her pick out an outfit to wear, meet with a friend for coffee, shop for the perfect book and take in the sights of the city - all accompanied by the upbeat music she's selected to pump through her headphones.

But, when she gets home, she switches the music off. And things take a violent turn.

Be warned: graphic scenes feature in this video.

"Despite all our progress, women see this every day. Think about it."

The video has been viewed over 1.5 million views since it was posted less than a month ago along with the hashtag #throughglass - and it's definitely got people talking about domestic violence.
