Mountain biker Malcolm Fox was enjoying a sunny bike ride in a remote area of South Africa's Western Cape.
He'd taken his GoPro head-camera along for the ride and was busily filming the world around him when, all of a sudden, a man appeared out of nowhere and pointed a gun at him.
Two others quickly appeared, with the bandits demanding Malcolm hand over his valuables and bicycle - before forcing him to walk away in the opposite direction.
Thankfully the GoPro camera, which documented the whole encounter, was not taken - and Malcolm has since used it as evidence against the thieves.
Malcolm Fox posted the video up on YouTube, writing: "MTB ride on Saturday 31st May 2014 from Ongegund, last few km's before end of session.
"Armed gunman and 2 others stopped myself and took cellphone, car keys, oakleys and bike.
"Fortunately they did not have a clue what a GOPRO was and this is the evidence that will assist in their procecution! [sic]"
All three men in the video have since been arrested and charged with robbery.
