Cancer sufferer Tom Crawford, 63, posted a desperate video on YouTube begging for help when bailiffs threatened to evict him from the bungalow he has lived in for 25 years.

Promising well-wishers a 'lovely cup of tea' if they joined his peaceful protest, the prostate cancer sufferer was ordered to pay off his mortgage by 9am yesterday or face a forced eviction.

BE INSPIRED BY THESE RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS

Despite the fact Mr Crawford has, he claims, already paid off his mortgage, which he took out with the now defunct bank Bradford and Bingley

Earlier this year a judge ruled against Mr Crawford - who suffers from prostate cancer - and ordered him to pay off his mortgage by 9am yesterday or face a forced eviction.

So father-of-three Tom took to YouTube in desperation, saying: "Please come and help us, there will be a lovely cup of tea waiting for you."

"But don't use violence, they are the ones who use violence. This is a war, for the people. We the people never said they could do this, it was governments, dead organisations, we are living flesh.

"It may only be a small bungalow, but it is my bungalow, my land, my home. After 19 years of paying of the mortgage I received a letter saying I would never pay off the mortgage.

"I went to see the bank manager and he told me there was a mistake and apologised."

"He even sent my wife flowers and champagne, they would prove to be the most expensive flowers and champagne I ever received.

"I was told there was nothing pay off, yet now they tell me I have not. I complained to the ombudsman, but they said there was nothing they could do as my claim was date restricted."

Incredibly, within hours the video had been shared over 7,000 times and yesterday more than 200 supporters and well-wishers from around Britain staged a peaceful protest at his home.

BACKLASH AT DANGEROUS NEKNOMINATION CRAZE WITH POSITIVE RAKNOMINATION TREND

After a tense 90-minute stand-off, the bailiffs left empty handed.

Today, Mr Crawford said: "This has been a huge battle for me and at times I've felt like no one wanted to help us.

"But this shows there are people out there who feel the same way and it has been very emotional to talk to all the people who have come to show support."
