The 41-year-old had the first child in November 2014, but the other was not delivered until January 2015.

Doctors have described the instance as a ‘miracle.’

The woman went into labour early at just 7 months and gave birth naturally to the first baby. But when she failed to give birth to the second child, doctors were puzzled.

Earlier scans had shown that the twins were in separate sacks with separate placentas - as is often the way with non-identical twins.

After examining the woman, the doctor recommended that she carry the second twin to full term, which she did until January this year.

The doctor in Bucharest, Romania, said this was ‘extremely rare’ and ‘nothing short of God’s miracle.’
