Taking to Reddit, the teenager said matter-of-factly: "So my parents just built an in-ground pool and they won't stop having sex in it.

"I don't really care that much because they do it when I'm gone or at night, but they keep trying to get me to swim in the new pool and they're getting more and more p**sed off with me because I won't swim in it.

"How do I tell them that I don't want to go in the pool without having to awkwardly talk about how I know what they're doing in the pool all the time?"

The responses from fellow Reddit users range from the sensible to the not-so-sensible.

One offered: "Just talk to them about it. Yeah, it will be awkward but hey, that's part of growing up."

Another added: "Just go swimming. That pool has a filter and a ton of chlorine I'm sure. You ever been to a public pool? The water you're in has touched an absurd amount of aholes. Like thousands of aholes. Still swimmable."

But the best - and most hilarious by far - was this little gem.

"Don't even bother letting them know. Go full-couragewolf, join 'em for a swim, start f**ping. Be like 'hey, that's what I thought this pool is for.'"

Yup. We'd kind of love for that one to happen.

We think the teenager might just want to go for the boring option of talking about it rationally with his parents.
