The girl, from Eggbuckland Community College in Plymouth, had her photo - taken from her Facebook page - shown to 100 pupils during an assembly.
Despite the teacher choosing to use pictures of other pupils too, all of the other photographs were from the neck up, with only this individual’s showing her in her swimsuit.

Speaking to the Mirror, her mother said her daughter is absolutely devastated by what happened.
‘She’s really upset and hurt and this has knocked her confidence. She’s not the type of girl who likes attention like this. She’s a tom-boy, she doesn’t wear make-up and she doesn’t even have her ears pierced. It’s not often you even get her in a bikini.’

Although the city council refused to comment directly on the incident, they did say that it’s: ‘very important young people understand the risks of posting images and messages about themselves online.’
