When a man - or woman - proposes to the love of their life, it's usually something they've thought long and hard about for months, carefully planning everything down to the very last detail.
This guy, however, managed to propose to his longtime girlfriend by mistake.
And it's all down to a sneaky packet of hot sauce.
Taking to Reddit to share his plight, the guy explained: "When my girlfriend of 6 years asked me for some hot sauce, without thinking I handed her this."
Cue a packet of hot sauce with the words: 'Will you marry me?' emblazoned across it.
"After a few seconds she said yes and started crying uncontrollably. What the HELL, Taco Bell?!"
However the guy, despite his mix-up, seems determined to go through with it, adding: "Guess I'd better go ring shopping."
Weirdly enough, this isn't the first person that this has happened to.

One commenter wrote: "I had this same scenario before with my ex. I handed her the packet, she read it and immediately shouted'Oh Hell no, we are broke as f*ck. We don't have that kind of money.'" [sic]
Another added: "Only I was the girlfriend. I didn't start screaming or anything but I gave him a very, very long hard look, trying to see if he had handed me that particular packet on purpose."
She added: "To be honest, I'd have been kind of p**sed if he did. Making a proposal via taco bell hot sauce seems rather unsentimental."

And, just in case anyone out there was thinking this was a joke, one more Reddit user insisted: "I would be a sceptic too if I hadn't seen a Taco Bell proposal with my own eyes.
"They happen. It's f**ked up!"
Zoinks! Would you have said yes to this unintentional proposal?
