In methods that echo controversial paedophile tracker Stinson Hunter, this man took matters into his own hands when he became suspicious of who his daughter was chatting to online.
Paedophile Wayne Corkhill was using Facebook to find a victim to invite round for ‘cuddles’ when he got a little more than he bargained for.
The 10-year-old he thought he was chatting to, was in fact his worst nightmare - her father.
Unluckily for Corkhill, he was already out on bail for a series of sex offences against young girls, and so was jailed for seven years when caught.
The 23-year-old claimed his computer had been hacked when tracked down and questioned about the crime.
‘I have no doubt that had he been left to his own devices these girls would have suffered extremely serious harm at his hands.’
While the 10-year-old had apparently made her age clear throughout, the defendant ‘said she was gorgeous and asked her to go to his flat for cuddles,’ said the prosecution.

And despite Corkhill claiming his account was hacked, the Judge in the case ruled that he had a serious sexual interest towards girls, and needed to be imprisoned for the safety of the public.
‘I have no doubt that had he been left to his own devices these girls would have suffered extremely serious harm at his hands.’
Corkhill will be on the sex offenders register for life.
