Every mum wants to spoil their kids at Christmas.

But Emma Tapping, from the Isle of Man, has sparked outrage after sharing her mountain of gifts under the tree at her house this year.

The image, which went viral on social media, revealed that there was over 300 gifts piled up under Emma’s Christmas tree… all of which will be going to her three children.

But is this really child abuse, as some online trolls have claimed?

Appearing on today’s This Morning to defend her actions, Emma told hosts Holly Willoughby and Ben Shephard that her kids, two daughters aged 13 and nine and a son of 19 months, are not spoilt throughout the year.

She said: “You can buy your children two presents or 200 but it is the way you bring them up. They could have two presents and still be a little terror.

“My kids know the difference between right and wrong, they appreciate everything they get and they don’t get spoilt throughout the year, we don’t go on expensive holidays.

“If they break something like their phone they have to save up their money to replace it.”

Emma went on to reveal that the presents – totalling around 85 each for her three children and husband – cost just £1,500 in total.

And that’s £1,500 for ALL of them.

said: “I'm not rich at all, which is the first thing I wanted to point out because it's been put all over the Internet after it had been taken from Instagram that I was rich and I spoil my children.

"I literally start from January, I shop all the way through, I use every bargain that I can and every sale that I can.

“That's the way I do it, I shop all year round to make the pile as big as it is and start wrapping in August.

"All in all it's about £1,500 worth.

“I don't have a credit card.

“Anything full price I refuse to pay for.”

Do you think this woman has spent way too much on her children this Christmas?
