The administration officer for Salford council said it was 'devastating' for her to lose Karl and the twins, but that the IVF has allowed her to 'have a little bit of Karl to keep forever.'
Fiance Karl fell ill with leukaemia at the age of just 24, and after three years of chemo and treatment, the couple decided to use previously frozen sperm samples to try and get pregnant.
However, when Michelle was 3 months pregnant with twins, Karl died from cancer at just 27-years-old.
Just four months later, Michelle was also to lose her beloved twins, Karl and Ria, after they were born prematurely.
But determined to fulfil her fiancé's dream of having a family, Michelle underwent IVF alone and gave birth to a healthy son in June 2013.
We wish Michelle and Max every happiness in their lives together!
