Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield sat down with an amazing group of women on This Morning today; the five of them all live on one street, are all amazing friends and all are dedicated to providing infertile couples with a surrogate mother.

The idea began when Becky, the first of the group to become a surrogate, was a child.

Her mother revealed: "We had a family friend that couldn't have children… and [my daughter] said 'when I grow up, I'm going to help them have a baby'."

Becky added, movingly: "It was always there… it was really hard to watch, even as a kid. You just really wanted to help in some way."

Holly Willoughby, who is currently pregnant with her third child, asked the group how they can come to terms with giving the baby away at the end of the pregnancy.

Becky replied: "You tell yourself right from the beginning that the baby's not yours and you have to keep that in your head, otherwise you'll start developing feelings for the child.

"You just keep thinking of the end result, of seeing them with your baby, and it is so worth it."

Becky becoming a surrogate mother inspired others living on her street to do the same - and, before long, four women had formed a close-knit bond, with Becky's mother taking on the role of 'fairy godmother'.

She explained: "I look after them all, I drive them to hospital and back, I'm there at the birth… people call me a Doula and all sorts."

When Phillip Schofield asked the women whether they would recommend becoming a surrogate to others, all of them nodded and said "definitely" - but they did have some advice to share.
