Thanks to the likes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Twilight, it's safe to say that society is fascinated with vampires.

But, as we witnessed on This Morning today, some people are more than just fascinated; they truly believe they ARE vampires themselves.

According to psychologist and university lecturer Emyr Williams, who is conducting research on the vampire community - there are around 10,000 - 15,000 people in the UK who are part of an underground vampire society.

And today Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were joined by two of them - Pyretta Blaze and Andy Filth.

A married couple who have been drinking each other's blood for three years 'as a form of intimacy', Pyretta and Andy revealed that drinking your partner's blood is similar to having sex - and that they hope it bonds them together.

Despite the oddities of their relationship, the couple insist that people should be more open minded and educated about their vampire lifestyle.

But, judging by comments on Twitter, it seems as if more people were disgusted than enlightened by what the couple had to say…

However one concerned viewer was more worried about Holly than the vampires, asking the pretty TV presenter - who is pregnant with her third child - how she was feeling.
