WATCH: Leopard recognises woman and leaps into her arms
When Steven Goldstraw pulled over after driving for four miles to investigate the weird sounds coming from the bonnet of his Renault Clio, he wasn't expecting to find a kitten snuggled up close to the engine's radiator.
"I have no idea how he didn't get hurt or fall out of the car" Steven said. 'It looked absolutely petrified".

"I thought I won't get it out straight away as the engine would be hot and it might get hurt. After a minute or so I carefully lifted the kitten out and held it in my arms".
The cat was popped back in the car, this time safely stowed in a box on the back seat, and taken back to Steven's home. He was then checked at the vets and was completely healthy, and is now appropriately named Lucky.

The kitten is thought to have been abandoned by his owners before he climbed into the car. But Lucky has now been adopted by Steven's next door neighbour Rosie who already owns cat Lola and her five kittens.
"Lucky smelt of oil and petrol when it arrived but Lola started washing it and cleaning it" Rosie said. "The kitten is like one of it's own".
