We’ve all been asked that impossible desert island question: 'What would you take with you?' 'Who would you most like to be stranded with' etc.
And it seems at school, teachers are now using those questions as a means of testing a child’s reasoning skills.

At one particular establishment, the teacher set such a question to their primary school class.
‘Would you rather be stuck on an island all alone or with one person you hate. WHY?’ the teacher asked.

But rather than go with a.) alone, because it’s better to be alone and happy that with someone you hate, or b.) with the person you hate for company; this child had a much more ingenious answer.
Writing under the task, the kid replied matter-of-factly: ‘I would rather be on an island with someone I hate so I have something to eat.’
Obviously understanding the child’s inherent genius, the teacher gave them a star for their efforts.
Clever, yes, but we’re not sure this school should be encouraging cannibalism - however drastic the circumstances!
