The model, 23, has said she is now converting to "Breatharianism", which means she no longer eats food or drinks water. Instead, she is training herself to live off light and air, consuming "cosmic micro-food".

She said: "In recent weeks I have not been hungry at all; I'm hoping it's the final stage before I can subsist on air and light alone."

Unsurprisingly, the dangerous practise has been criticised for being potentially lethal - and several practitioners of "Breatharianism" have reportedly died of starvation.

And, judging by Valeria's increasingly tiny frame on YouTube, the effects of the controversial eating practise have already begun to take hold.

According to previous reports, Valeria's waistline measured a tiny 50 centimetres. But, judging by photos on her Facebook account, the ravaging effects of her dangerous new diet are already noticeable; you can see her bones.

It is not the first time the controversial model has raised concerns over body image; on Good Morning America, Dr. Anthony LaBruna, Plastic Surgeon Director of Manhattan Plastic Surgery, explained that Valeria must have had plastic surgery on her figure to get it so tiny in the first place - including having several of her ribs removes:

"A women needs to get breast enhancements to be a 38DD and cut some ribs out to get an 18 waist, make the hips wider and change her face."

LaBruna did not disclose exactly how much Valeria Lukyanova might have spent on plastic surgery procedures to attain her current stature, but he estimated that the cost would be somewhere in the $100,000s.

While we would like to believe that many people would realise that Breatharianism is extremely dangerous, Valeria is followed by over 32,000 people on Facebook.

We truly hope that her fans realise how harmful and damaging it would be to starve their bodies of nourishment in a bid to achieve Valeria's ridiculous measurements - it is, essentially, an eating disorder.
