Christine Stone has shared a video compilation of all the times she told her mother with Alzheimer's that she's pregnant
Telling your parents that you're expecting a baby must be one of the most exciting things about being pregnant.
Whatever your relationship is like with them, they're almost 100% guaranteed to just be overjoyed and happy for you.
And one woman from South Carolina in the US got to experience that utter joy from her mother over and over again.
But the reason behind her multiple announcements is heartbreaking - Christine's mother, Setsuko, 77, suffers from Alzheimer's, and is simply forgetting each time that her daughter is pregnant.
In the video, we can see the pure love and joy in Setsuko's eyes each time she learns the news, and she is visibly over the moon and ecstatic about her daughter's news, often asking when the baby is due.
And whilst the video is incredibly heartwarming, it's tinged with sadness as we know the reason behind it.
Christine, 38, said: "I enjoy telling mum because every time she reacts like a kid at Christmas. I can tell her I'm pregnant two minutes after I just told her and she is still surprised."
The mum-to-be, who is 20 weeks pregnant with her first child, revealed that the reason for the video was actually for her unborn baby: "My daughter will appreciate this video when she grows up and know my mom was excited for her arrival and was loved."
Setsuko has battled Alzheimer's for eight years, and her husband, Bob, 69, cares for her every day - apart from weekends when Christine travels up to North Carolina to give him a rest.
Christine admitted: "It makes my father sad and depressed to see the video but he likes to see her happy and excited.
"Her short-term memory is affected so she forgets she just ate and where the bathroom is which is really hard on Dad. She can remember things that happened a long time ago but will ask the same question over and over.
"It is very sad, but she mostly has a positive attitude."
