Sexting is one of the biggest issues faced by parents of young people and teenagers, but how do you explain the dangers of sending a naked photo of yourself to someone?

"As soon as you hit that button, it's out of your control."

In 2009, an 18-year-old girl named Jessica committed suicide after her ex-boyfriend circulated a nude photo she had sent him around her school.

The harassment she received from her classmates left her depressed, miserable and afraid to attend classes. her friend explained: "She was being attacked and tortured.

"When she would come to school she would always hear, 'Oh, that's the girl that sent the picture. She's just a whore.'"

Increasingly schools are getting outside speakers in to talk to girls and boys separately about the trust and respect agenda that seems to have disappeared.

Some schools have taken to showing older teens a 10 minute video called Exposed, which is about a girl sending a picture of herself to her boyfriend and it reaching a much wider audience.

The aftermath is terrifying.
