Woman films male harassment on streets of New York – 100 cat calls in 10 hours

A woman fed up of being harassed by men on the streets of New York has documented her experience.

Shoshana Roberts, took it upon herself to highlight the number of times women are approached by men in the street and incredibly, over a period of ten hours got 100 cat calls.

Dressed in a conservative top and jeans, she walked the streets for approximately 25 miles with a friend, Rob Bliss – wearing a hidden camera – to show the level of intrusion.

Talking about the video and why he and Shoshana created it, he explained: “It's not just a U.S. thing, catcalling and things like that happen worldwide.

“Women get it really well but a lot of men don't understand why this would be an issue or sympathize what it would be like to be in this situation, they only have their own experiences to go off of, they don't experience it themselves.”
